Field Hockey & Lacrosse Complex
The premier, state-of-the-art home of the seven-time national champions seats 1,400 spectators and meets the highest field standards of the Federation of International Hockey (F.I.H.). Opened in 2003 with a water-based Astroturf 12 playing surface, the Terps share the facility with the Maryland women’s lacrosse team.
Two phases of construction were finished in time for the University of Maryland to host the 2005 Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament, won by the Terrapins. The Terrapins have also hosted numerous NCAA Tournament First and Second Round games, as well as the 2007 and 2010 NCAA Final Fours.On Nov. 21, 2010 the Terrapins hosted the NCAA Championship game at the Complex as the No. 1 overall seed. They beat No. 2 North Carolina 3-2 in double overtime in front of 2,381 fans - the largest crowd in NCAA history.
