No. 7 Maryland will play its second straight home game Thursday when Wake Forest comes to town. The Terps (17-1, 4-1 ACC) and the Demon Deacons (11-6, 1-3) will play at 7 p.m. in Comcast Center.
As part of the new Get to Know Your Terps series, fans will get a closer look at two Terrapin players each game. At Thursday's game, junior Essence Townsend and redshirt sophomore Katie Rutan will be featured.
This will mark the 64th meeting between the Terrapins and the Demon Deacons. The Terps own the series, 51-12, and have won the last 10 straight matchups. Last season, Maryland beat Wake Forest, 75-44, on Jan. 28 in College Park.
The Terrapins are coming off of a 68-61 win over the ACC's best defensive team, Virginia, Monday night at Comcast Center. Laurin Mincy led the Terrapins with 20 points and Lynetta Kizer added her first double-double of the season with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
Maryland is ranked No. 8 in the latest Associated Press rankings and No. 7 in the ESPN/USA Today Division I Top 25 Coaches' poll.
