Maryland’s history begins with its great players from years past. Between All-Americans, record holders, and Women’s Basketball Hall of Famers, Maryland has a history of talented and respected players.
Vicky Bullett
• Two-time All-American selection
• 1989 ACC Player of the Year
• Averaged 16.9 points per game over her career, a program record.
Marissa Coleman
• Two-time AP All-American Honorable Mention
• Played more games than any other Terp, seeing action in 144.
Shay Doron
• Two-time All-American selection
• Holds Maryland record in career free throws made.
Laura Harper
• AP All-American Honorable Mention
• Final Four Most Outstanding Player (2006)
• Career record holder of blocked shots with 198.
Tara Heiss
• First Terrapin to be inducted in to the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame in 2003.
Kris Kirchner
• Averaged over 10 rebounds per game in her career, a school record.
Crystal Langhorne
• Three-time All-American selection
• 2008 ACC Player of the Year
• Scored most points in Maryland school history with 2,247. She is the only player with over 2,000 points.
Debbie Lytle
• Registered 315 steals in her career, maintaining the program record since 1983.

Kristi Toliver
• Three-time All-American Selection
• 2009 ACC Player of the Year
• Maryland’s all-time assists and three-point field goal leader with 751 and 300, respectively.
Head Coach Chris Weller
• 1992 USBWA Coach of the Year
• Two-time ACC Coach of the Year
• Inducted in to the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame in 2010.
