At Maryland: Member of the 2009 Cheersport championship team and NCA second place team...also on 2010 NCA National Grand Championship team and Cheersport runner-up team...named to ACC's Academic Honor Roll in 2010...in 2010-11, won event national championship in trio tumbling pass...competed in the trio tumbling pass heat in all 10 meets...group set NCATA record with score of 8.97 in that event (March 24)...also competed in the compulsory tumbling heat in all 10 meets...group earned season-high score of 8.96 at Quinnipiac (March 26) ...member of team that went 8-0 during the regular season and advanced to NCATA championship...in 2011-12, competed in duo tumbling and 6-element tumbling heats...member of team that went 8-1 during regular season and advanced to second straight NCATA championship in 2011-12.
Before Maryland: Cheered for Premiere Great White Sharks from 2005 thru 2008 ... team earned a seventh place finish and an eighth place finish at Worlds in 2007 and 2008 ... cheered for her high school team from 2005 thru 2008 ... on diving team at her high school in 2008, where she finished eighth at the state championships ... won a state championship with her high school track team in the 4 X 200 meter relay in 2007 ... was an honors student all four years of high school.
Personal: Margaux Christina Cooper ... parents are Ted and Michelle Cooper ... enjoys spending time on the lake and visiting her family's beach house on the Outer Banks ... sister, Meredith, was on competitive cheer team and graduated in 2009 ... chose Maryland because she loved the campus and the idea of athletics and academics working together ...pre-med major.
