At Maryland: In 2010-11, competed in compulsory stunt heat in first two meets of the year...group earned a season-high score of 9.94 vs. Quinnipiac (Dec. 4)...member of team that went 8-0 during the regular season and advanced to NCATA championship...in 2011-12, competed in 7-element stunt heat as well as others...won event national championships in the 2-element and synchronized toss heats...member of team that went 8-1 during regular season and advanced to second straight NCATA championship in 2011-12.

Before Maryland: Competed for South Jersey Storm and Dream Extreme All Stars...Storm team won nationals and earned full paid bid to Worlds in 2010...team finished third at 2010 World Championships...cheered for high school's team from 2007-2010...team won national championship at Reach the Beach in Ocean City in 2009...recipient of Outstanding Athlete Award for performance in athletics and academics...competed in track and field as a sprinter in 2006-2008...honor roll student.

Personal: Laura Chirico...daughter of Gary and Kathleen Chirico...has three siblings, Katie, Amy and Jeff...came to Maryland because it offers excitement and opportunities and an amazing competitive cheer team.
