Kelsey Named To All-ACC Academic Team

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Six All-Conference honorees secured spots on the 2006 All-Atlantic Coast Conference Academic Men's Cross Country Team as announced today by Commissioner John D. Swofford.

To be eligible for consideration, a student-athlete must have earned a 3.00 grade point average for the previous semester and maintained a 3.00 cumulative average during her academic career.

Maryland freshman Greg Kelsey earned a spot on the 2006 All-ACC Academic Cross Country Team. Kelsey is a kinesiology major from Saratoga Springs, N.Y.

Student-athletes earning All-ACC honors this past fall were Florida State's Andrew Lemoncello, Clemson's Bryce Iverson, Duke's Keith Krieger and NC State's Tibor Vegh, John Crews and Stephen Furst.

Repeaters from last year's academic team include Virginia's Andrew Dumm, Virginia Tech's Andrew Montgomery, Miami's Jonathan Scheiner, Florida State's Lemoncello and Thomas Lancashire, Duke's Krieger, Virginia Tech's Andrew Montgomery and NC State John Kollar, Furst, and Vegh.
