Kelsey and Lundy Named To All-ACC Academic Team

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Five All-Conference honorees secured spots on the 2008 All-Atlantic Coast Conference Academic Men's Cross Country Team as announced Wednesday, February 18 by Commissioner John D. Swofford. To be eligible for consideration, a student-athlete must have earned a 3.00 grade point average for the previous semester and maintained a 3.00 cumulative average during her academic career. Maryland junior Greg Kelsey earned a spot on the 2008 All-ACC Academic Cross Country Team. Kelsey is a kinesiology major from Saratoga Springs, N.Y. This is the junior's second time receiving the honor. Kelsey is joined by freshman Alex Lundy who also earned a spot on the team. The freshman is a Biology major hailing from Littleton, Colorado. Student-athletes on the team earning All-ACC honors this past fall were Mack, Boston College's Timothy Ritchie, Duke's Bo Waggoner, Florida State's Matt Leeder and Virginia Tech's Devin Cornwall. Ritchie finished second at this year's ACC Championship while Cornwall was third, Leeder seventh and Waggoner 10th.
