2007 CROSS COUNTRY: Competed in five events for Maryland and had solid season, finishing fourth through sixth in each event... Top individual finish was ninth place at the Mount St. Mary's Duals, fifth on the team (16:37.4 over 5K)... Finished 18th overall and fourth on the team as Maryland won the Leopard Invitational at Lafayette in mid-season... Went 26:38.7 over 5 miles... Placed 67th overall at both the ACC Championships at Virginia (6th on team with 26:13.9 time over 8K) and the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regionals at Lehigh (fifth on team with 31:49 time over 10K).
2007 OUTDOOR TRACK: Placed ninth in the 1,500 meters at the Navy Invitational with a time of 5:05.6... ran a 4:12.02 in the event at the Omnesty/Abramson Invitational... posted a time of 15:11.96 in the 5,000 meters at the Duke Asics Invitational... finished sixth at the Maryland Invitational with a time of 15:17.63... had a time of 15:52.53 at the ACC Championships to finish 34th.
2007 INDOOR TRACK: Placed 19th in the 3,000 meters at the Patriot Games with a time of 9:07.35... finished 19th in the event at the Terrapin Invitational, running a 9:09.56... ran a 16:03.25 in the 5,000 meters at the Virginia Tech Invitational and placed 13th... had a time of 4:44.51 in the mile on the banked track at the Virginia Tech Invitational.
2006 CROSS COUNTRY: Improved as the season went on, placing fourth on the team in four events and third in the IC4A Championships, the final race of the year... finished 66th overall at the ACC Championships with a time of 26:36.0... earned a time of 26:18.2 at the IC4A Championships, good for 49th overall.
BEFORE MARYLAND: Led his cross country team to two county titles and one conference title during his junior and senior years... was individual conference champion for cross country during his senior year... was also individual Atlantic County Champion in 3,200 during senior year... won award for having the Highest GPA on cross country team for three year ... qualified for cross country, indoor track and outdoor track state meets of champions during his senior year... high school coach was Don Heyman... had PR of 9:29 in 3,200.
PERSONAL: Born in Somers Point, N.J... son of Joanne and Tom Gahr... has an older sister, Allison... will major in finance at Maryland... chose Maryland over Rutgers... member of the National Honor Society... lists his favorite athlete as Hines Ward.
