COLLEGE PARK, Md. - A record 135 attendees participated in the Seventh Annual Golf Outing held Friday, Aug. 24 at the University of Maryland Golf Course. Director of Athletics Kevin Anderson, Deputy Director of Athletics/Chief Operating Officer Kelly Mehrtens and Associate Athletic Director for Academic Support & Career Development Chris Uchacz were among those in attendance.

The Maryland wrestling team played host to friends, family, fans and supporters for a fun-filled day of golf capped by lunch with the team, staff and coaches as well as a raffle.

"This was an exciting day for Maryland Wrestling," said assistant coach Todd Beckerman. "This year's record turnout shows the exponential growth in support for our program. We would like to thank all of the sponsors who participated in this year's event and everyone who turned out."

The team of John and Ryan Abbott, Keith Burgess and James Sanders took first place for the second consecutive year.
