Mike Letts and Jon Kohler both represented Maryland wrestling Saturday at Kaufman-Brand Open at the University of Nebraska-Omaha. Letts went 4-1 to finish second at 174 pounds while Kohlersplit his four matched at 141 pounds.
Letts began the day with three straight major-decision victories by scores of 9-0, 14-5 and 10-0. After winning a 10-7 decision against Shane Onufer, letts lost his first match of the season in the championship round, falling 8-5 to Brandon Browne.
Kohler lost his opening match to Nebraska-Omaha's Mario Morgan, but rebounded with a pair of wins, including a pin of Cory Vombaur in 4:45, before losing a 7-2 decision to Vince Castillo.
