Terps Open the Season with the Terrapin Duals

Maryland plays host to Bloomsburg, Franklin & Marshall, Johns Hopkins and West Virginia

As a Sophomore (2011-12): Went 1-1 at 184 pounds...recorded a major decision over Matt Latessa of Franklin and Marshall at the Terrapin Duals.

As a Redshirt Freshman (2010-11): Went 20-15 overall (20-14 at 174 pounds)...earned first win in 1-0 victory against Rutger's Mike Cuccionotta at the Brockport Open...received the Academic Achievement Award at the Terp Awards for the highest GPA on the team.

As a Freshman (2009-10 at Rutgers): Went 7-7 in a redshirt season.

Before Maryland: A three-time MIAA Champion and two-time state champion at McDonogh high school ... a national prep finalist ... a three-time selection to the all-metro team.

Personal: Parents are Alex and Amy Pagnotta ... father played football and lacrosse at Towson ... lists the academic and athletic programs as the reason for coming to Maryland ... a criminal justice major ... had a 3.0 GPA in high school.
