As a Sophomore (2006-07): Posted a 22-7 record on the season... ranked as high as No. 13 in the nation ... recorded six falls and six major decisions ... won 10 of his last 12 matches in the regular season ... finished third at the ACC Tournament (3/3/07) ... won nine-straight matches from Dec. 30 to Jan. 13 ... placed second at the prestigious Southern Scuffle (12/30/06) ... went 5-1 at the Nittany Lion Open (12/3/06) and 3-1 at the Body Bar Systems Invitational (11/18/06) to finish second.
As a Freshman (2005-06): Finished the season with 26 victories for the season ... notched two falls, four technical falls, and four major decisions ... took third place at the ACC Championship ... finished fourth at the Penn State Open.
Before Maryland: Four-time high school All-American at Easton High in the powerful Lehigh Valley ... posted a career record of 161-23 at Easton High, becoming District 11's all-time winningest wrestler (surpassing the mark set by current Terp Josh Haines) ... three-time District 11 champion ... placed twice at the Pennsylvania state tournament ... amassed 44 victories and won the Reno Tournament of Champions as a senior ... earned Outstanding Wrestler honors twice at the National High School Coaches Association (NHSCA) Final Four Dual Meet Championships.
