04/12/2012 Several Terps to Compete at FILA JuniorsWrestling begins at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Alliant Energy Center 10/18/2011 Terps Enter 2011-12 Season with High ExpectationsMaryland returns two All-Americans and is a national consensus top-20 pick As a Freshman (2011-12): Served a redshirt season and went a combined 9-10 at 149 pounds and 157 pounds wrestling in open competition...tallied three pins at 149...recorded his first two career wins by fall at the East Stroudsburg Open (11/12)...opened the Central Jersey Open with a fall over Thomas Broderick of Middlesex Community College (11/20). Before Maryland: Compiled a 123-25 record at Hillsborough High School...in 2011 at 140 pounds finished fifth at the New Jersey State Tournament and recorded a 33-5 record during the season...won the district and county championship...at 135 pounds finished with a record of 28-7 and won the county and district title in 2010...won the Brute Adidas National Championship at 119 pounds in 2009 with a record of 33-5...won the county championship...in 2008 won the 112-pound county and district title to finish with a 29-8 record.
