The Maryland wrestling program has been the most dominant in the Atlantic Coast Conference since its inception in 1953, but recently has begun to reach new heights. With a combination of top notch facilities, academic support and a winning tradition, the University of Maryland has established itself as one of the premier wrestling destinations on the east coast, finishing in the top 20 at the NCAA Championships the past two seasons.

Former All-American and Olympic wrestler Kerry McCoy leads a coaching staff that has seen Maryland win two of the last three Atlantic Coast Conference Championships, while capturing six individual ACC titles over the past two years.
