Feb. 6, 1997 Wrestling Defeats Navy, 24-13; Guzzio Improves To 27-0COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- Maryland's wrestling team got back on track Thursday night after losing two-consecutive matches by defeating Navy (7-3) by a score of 24-13. The Terps improve their record to 6-2. All-america candidate James "Guzzler" Guzzio (Sr; Norwich, CT) improved his record to 27-0 by recording his seventh pin of the season on Navy's Travis Campbell. Other winners for the Terps included Scott Herfel (So; Holbrook, NY); Shane Mack (Sr; Ithaca, NY); Jeff Whalen (Sr; Camp Hill, PA); Arash Alizadeh (Sr; Herndon, VA); Craig Garrison (Jr; Pompton Lakes, NJ); and Dave Vernier (Sr; Gaithersburg, MD). The Terps will be at Coppin State on Saturday afternoon, where they will compete against the Eagles as well as Rutgers. The first match will begin at Noon. Maryland 24, Navy 13
