Wrestling Defeats Navy, 24-13; Guzzio Improves To 27-0

COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- Maryland's wrestling team got back on track Thursday night after losing two-consecutive matches by defeating Navy (7-3) by a score of 24-13. The Terps improve their record to 6-2.

All-america candidate James "Guzzler" Guzzio (Sr; Norwich, CT) improved his record to 27-0 by recording his seventh pin of the season on Navy's Travis Campbell.

Other winners for the Terps included Scott Herfel (So; Holbrook, NY); Shane Mack (Sr; Ithaca, NY); Jeff Whalen (Sr; Camp Hill, PA); Arash Alizadeh (Sr; Herndon, VA); Craig Garrison (Jr; Pompton Lakes, NJ); and Dave Vernier (Sr; Gaithersburg, MD).

The Terps will be at Coppin State on Saturday afternoon, where they will compete against the Eagles as well as Rutgers. The first match will begin at Noon.
