Maryland Wins First Three Duals Meets Of The Season As "The Guzzler" Runs His Record To 22-0RALEIGH, N.C. - The Maryland wrestling team won all of their first three dual matches of the season today at the N.C. State Duals. The Terps defeated Delaware State, 39-6; Appalachian State 37-6; and Tennessee-Chattanooga, 27-9. The Terps did not wrestle N.C. State because of their date next weekend at Cole Field House. All-America candidate James "Guzzler" Guzzio (Sr; Daniel Hand, CT High School) continued his perfect record (22-0) by sweeping all three of his matches. Arash Alizadeh (Sr; Herndon (VA) High School)and Shane Mack "Attack" (Jr; Ithaca (NY) High School) both recorded two pins as they also swept all three matches that they wrestled in. Alizadeh's record is now 20-9, while Mack has run his record to an impressive 24-5. The Terps will open their home schedule next weekend at Cole Field House. They will host Old Dominion Friday at 7:30 and N.C. State at 2:00.
