COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The 58th-ranked Maryland men's tennis team concludes a four match road trip at 41st-ranked Baylor Tuesday, March 6 at 3 p.m. at the Hurd Tennis Center in Waco.

Senior Maros Horny occupies the Terps' No. 1 singles position. Horny is currently ranked 91st and is 4-6 with a victory over then-30th ranked Luka Somen of Virginia Tech.

Freshman Vlad Stefan joined Horny in last week's ITA poll at No. 122. Stefan has played at No. 2 the past five matches and is 2-3.

Junior John Collins has played at the No. 2, 3, and 4 positions this season. At Purdue and at Notre Dame this past weekend, Collins played the No. 4 and 3 spots, respectively, and is 3-6 on the season.

Junior Andy Magee has played the majority of his matches at No.4, but against the Fighting Irish he debut at No. 6 and earned a three-set victory.

Junior Tommy Laine is 3-2 at No.5. In five matches at the No. 6 spot, junior Jesse Kiuru is 4-1.

In doubles, 36th-ranked Horny and Collins improved to 8-2 over the weekend. The tandem has won five in a row.

Last Time Out
The Terps won two doubles matches to earn the opening point, but fell on the road to 26th-ranked Notre Dame.

Magee was the lone Terp to earn a victory in singles play. Magee defeated Michael Moore 6-4, 5-7, 6-4 to earn his first win at the No. 6 position.

Spencer Returns
Head coach Kyle Spencer will return to Baylor for the first time since taking the top job at Maryland. Spencer was an assistant for the Bears from 2006-2009.

Baylor is coming off three straight wins last week with home victories over SMU, St. Edward's and Laredo CC.

Baylor is led on the season by 28th-ranked freshman Mate Zsiga's 22-4 season mark; he is 8-1 in dual match play, with his only loss coming to then-29th-ranked Ryan Thacher of Stanford. Junior Roberto Maytin, BU's other ranked singles player at No. 125, owns the team's second-best singles record at 17-8, including a 7-3 dual match record.

Maytin and freshman Marko Krickovic are ranked No. 26 in doubles with a 5-2 record, but haven't played dual match competition together yet. Maytin and Zsiga, the Bears' top doubles team, are 7-3 in dual-match play while Robert Verzaal and Krickovic, playing at the No. 2 spot, are 7-2 in spring matches.
