WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - The Maryland men's tennis team closed out its fall season over the weekend at the annual Tribe Invitational held in Williamsburg, Va.

Out of the four teams in attendance, the Terps were one of three that finished last season ranked by the ITA, with the other teams being Notre Dame and host William & Mary, as the College of Charleston rounded out the field.

The Terps started out strong in day one, earning wins at singles from four of the six players in action. Senior Nickolai Nielsen, juniors David Kwon and Alex Aksanov and freshman Mathias Sarrazin all earned victories for Maryland.

Despite a tough day at singles on day two, the Terps played well at doubles on their way to getting wins from the team of Kwon and senior Boris Fetbroyt and the team of sophomores Roshan Potarazu and Graham Knowlton.

On day three of competition Maryland earned wins at singles from Nielsen, Potarazu and freshman Arman Moussavi.

The Terps will be back in action at the start of the spring season when they hit the road to face off with the University of Louisville on January 25, in Louisville Kentucky. Last season an unranked Maryland team stunned the then No. 43 Cardinals at home, 4-3.
