Maryland Wraps Up Tribe Invitational

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - The Maryland men's tennis team wrapped up play at the William and Mary Invitational, seeing a number of successes in varying flights. In Flight One, 81st-ranked Nickolai Nielsen lost against William Novlitt of N.C. State in a close match. After grasping the first set, Nielsen could not continue his success, losing the second two rounds. His final match score was 4-6, 6-1, 11-9. Also competing in Flight One was senior Scott Fink. Fink won his first match against Keziel Juneau of William and Mary, 5-7, 7-6, 10-6. He then advanced to play Barry King of Notre Dame, falling 6-2, 6-2. Maryland saw trouble in Flight Two, where Fink and sophomores Boris Fetbroyt and Andrew Orban all lost their matches. Sophomore Aaron Carr saw success against Kavi Sudd of William and Mary in Flight Three of the Tribe Invitational, sliding by in two sets, 7-6, 7-5. Carr continued his winnings in Flight Four by beating opponents from N.C. State and Notre Dame. In the doubles rounds, Maryland's only win was from dup Fink and Fetbroyt. In a tight round, they defeated opponents from Notre Dame, 8-5. SINGLES Flight One Flight Two
