NORFOLK, Va. - John Collins won his first match of the ITA Atlantic Regional Championship to lead the Terps' effort Friday at the five-day non team-scored tournament.

Collins, who had a bye in the opening round, advanced to the round of 32 with a 6-3, 6-1 win over Camill Salomon of Virginia Commonwealth in early action Friday.

However, the freshman was ousted later in the day, falling to Eddie Bourchier of Penn State 6-2, 6-3.

Ryan Lissner and Graham Knowlton, who each won opening-round singles matches Thursday, were unable to keep it going Friday.

Lissner lost to Thibault Charron of VCU 6-4, 6-3 and Knowlton was defeated by Zack Watson of Radford, also by scores of 6-4, 6-3.
