Feb. 22, 1997 Men's Tennis Defeats PatriotsCOLLEGE PARK, Md. - The men's tennis team improved to 3-2 with a victory over George Mason University this afternoon at the tennis bubble. After a 0-2 start, they are currently riding a three-match win streak as they head into their ACC season beginning March 1. Single winners for Maryland included Dale Cathell, Thomas John Klier, Collin Parker and Karim Emara by default. In doubles, Cathell and Collin Parker were victorious, improving to 5-0 overall as a team. In addition T.J. Klier extended his unbeaten streak to five matches. The next Terp match is at the University of Virginia next Saturday, Mar. 1 at 1 p.m. Match Results Singles No. 1: Dale Cathell (MD) d. Jonas Furucrona (GMU), 6-2, 6-4. No. 2: Collin Parker (MD) d.
