COLUMBUS, Ohio - Juniors Dong Kim and Eric Cullen were joined by freshman Nick Cordes as the three qualified for events in this summer's U.S. Olympic Trials. Nine Terps in all competed in the Toyota Grand Prix at The Ohio State University meet hosted by The Ohio State University and the McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion April 4-6.

Cordes (Cedar Falls, Iowa) qualified for the Olympics Trials in the 50-yard freestyle, while Kim (Bucks County, Pa.) qualified in the 100-yard freestyle.

Cullen (Severn, Md.) lowered his trial cut in the 100-yard breaststroke from 1:03.86. Cullen also barely missed the 200-yard breaststroke qualifying time.

Freshman Annie Fittin (Sea Girt, N.J.) just missed the qualifying time in the 100-yard butterfly and 100-yard backstroke, while sophomore Patty DeScenza (Naperville, Ill.) just missed in the 100-yard and 200-yard butterfly.

Maryland swimmers Kim and Cullen each already hit the qualifying standards for this summer's U.S. Olympic Trials with their efforts at the Georgia Tech Long Course Invitational.
