John WolshDiving CoachJohn Wolsh begins his third season as the diving coach for both the men's and women's teams at Maryland. Under his guidance, several divers have had prolific careers since coming to Maryland. Last season, Kevin Burke swept the one- and three-meter diving titles at the ACC Championships and was an honorable mention All-America selection at the NCAA Championships. Three other Maryland divers (Krista Irish, Courtenay Miller and Alyssa Anderson) have advanced to the NCAA Regional Diving Championships since Wolsh arrived at Maryland. Miller and Irish also placed in the top eight at the ACC meet. Wolsh was a four-year letterwinner for the Terps (1976-79). He finished second at the ACC meet as a freshman in both the one- and three-meter diving events and qualified for the NCAA Championships twice during his collegiate career. He and his wife Lisa have two daughters, Cassandra (age 3) and Victoria (age 2).
