As a Sophomore (2011-12): Maryland's most valuable swimmer with top times in the 50 free (20.19), 100 free (44.15), 200 free (1:36.86) and 200 IM (1:48.25)...two-time ACC Men's Performer of the Week (11/15 and 1/17)...touched the wall 15th in the 200 IM (1:49.54) at the 2012 ACC Championships... finished eighth in the 200 free (1:37.55) and 11th in the 100 free (44.15)... contributed to 200 medley relay team that finished eighth (1:28.24)...also part of sixth-place 800 free relay (6:33.11)...won the 200 IM (1:48.85) and 50 free (20.39) at the Terp Cup...took second in the 200 free (1:38.01) and 100 free (44.43).

As a Freshman (2010-11): Tallied the top 200 free time on the team...also boasted top five showings in the 50, 100, 500, and 1000 free for Maryland...member of eighth place 800 free relay (6:33.90), 200 free relay (1:20.78) and 400 medley relay (3:16.52) that secured NCAA B-cut marks at the ACC Championships...finished 21st in the 500 free (4:31.12)...took 15th in the 200 free (1:38.83)...also 17th in the 100 free (44.32) with an NCAA B-cut mark... part of first place 200 free relay (1:21.83) at the Terp Cup...third in the 500 free and fifth in the 50 and 200 free...member of second place 400 medley, 400 free and 800 free relay.

Before Maryland: Swam at St. Pius X High School...was a four-time high school All-American and two-time PA high school state champion in the 500 free...holds the district record in the 500 free...was a two-time YMCA state champion and current record holder in the 200 free...won the Short Course and Long Course at YMCA Nationals.

Personal: Son of Jack Hauser and Ellen Kanaley...mother was a swimmer at the Rochester Institute of Technology...attending Maryland for academics...also recruited by Virginia Tech, Indiana, UMass, and Clemson...majoring in Computer Engineering.
