Christy Garth-Blazer is in her second season as an assistant coach at Maryland. She came to Maryland after serving as the interim women's assistant coach at the University of Michigan during the 2000-01 season.
Garth-Blazer coached the North Carolina Aquatic Club in 1996 and the swim team at Schroeder YMCA in Milwaukee, Wisc., in 2000. She also swam and qualified for the Olympic Trials in 2000.
Garth-Blazer is a graduate of the University of North Carolina, where she swam from 1992 to 1996.
