Before Maryland: Three-time state champion in the 100 butterfly while at Pleasant Valley High School...finished third as a freshman in the event as well...member of state champion 4x100 free relay team while setting five school records at PVHS.

Personal: Son of Mark and Terrie Bartholomew...father played football at Eastern Illinois...major is letters and sciences.
