Terps in the Community
One of the integral values of the Maryland swimming and diving family is giving back to the community.

Members of the Terrapin swimming and diving team can be found volunteering for the betterment of the community throughout the Baltimore/DC area.  The men’s swimming and diving squad was named the winner of the CHAMPS/Life Skills Cup in 2008-09.

Just a few examples of Maryland volunteer projects include:

• Helping raise funds for cancer research through Alex’s Lemonade Stand
• Aiding youth by holding ‘Swim School’ every year
• Help feed the homeless by volunteering at the Capital Area Food Bank
• Run to fight breast cancer by participating in the Betty Lou Ourisman Breast Health Center Race in Georgetown.
