The 2008 All-Atlantic Coast Conference Academic Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Team was announced Thursday by Commissioner John D. Swofford. Sophomores Aleksandar Damjanic (Letters & Sciences) and Christopher Rouchard (Business Management) joined the team from the men's side while sophomores Patty DeScenza (Education) and Nina Rossi (Education) made it from the women's.

The Terps closed Day 2 with Maryland's largest point gather of the day. Kim, Cordes, Dilz and Greene swam a third place, NCAA B-cut qualifying time of 1:19.91 to add 32 points for an eighth place finish leading into the third day of competition. The men's swimming and diving team compiled 61 points on Day 2 of competition at the 2008 ACC Championships to finish with 109 points.

The Maryland Terrapins men's and women's swimming and diving teams will head to Atlanta, Ga. for the 2008 ACC Championships. The women's competition begins Wednesday, February 20 and continues until February 23, while the men's team will compete February 27 until March 1.
