Maryland Travels to American for NCAA Second Round Match

COLLEGE PARK, MD -- The ninth-ranked Maryland Terrapins men's soccer team will travel to Washington D.C. on Sunday for a 1 p.m. matchup with the seventh-ranked American Eagles in NCAA second round tournament action.

Maryland defeated Rutgers, 1-0, in first-round action, and carries a 16-5-1 record into Sunday's match. American advanced to Sunday's second-round action by virtue of its 2-1 overtime win over William & Mary. The Eagles own a 16-3-4 record.

The winner of the second-round match will meet the winner of the Georgetown versus Virginia match which will be played on Sunday at 1 p.m.
