COLLEGE PARK, MD. -- Maryland (13-4) senior forward Jason Cropley (La Canada, Calif.) has been named ACC Player of the Week for men's soccer for his two-goal performance against Clemson on Saturday. The Terrapins' 2-0 win was the first since 1988 at Riggs Field. Cropley also added an assist in the Terps' 4-0 rout of Loyola last Wednesday.

The honor is the first for Cropley this year. Terp teammates Scott Buete (Bowie, Md.) and Taylor Twellman (St. Louis, Mo.) have also been named ACC Player of the Week this year for the weeks of Sept. 13 and Sept. 20, respectively. Maryland has had three ACC Player of the Week honorees this season, more than any other school in the conference. Only Duke and Wake Forest have come close with two each.

Cropley is the Terps' second-leading scorer and has accumulated seven goals and seven assists this season for 21 points. A senior, he is on every career top ten list at Maryland. He is ninth in career goals (29), fifth in career assists (18) and sixth in career points (76).

Maryland plays again on Saturday against Wisconsin. The game is the final regular season contest for the Terps, and fittingly enough is senior day where the Terps will honor both Cropley and Jamie Eichmann (Cedarburg, Wisc.). Game time is 1 p.m.
