The Maryland men's soccer program and head coach Sasho Cirovski has announced another addition to its 2009 signing class with the inking of Gonzalo Frechilla.
Frechilla, a Dominican Republic National Team member, will join other signees Jordan Cyrus, Kevin Dansky, Taylor Kemp, Jake Pace, John Stertzer, Paul Torres, Widner Saint Cyr, London Woodberry, and Norris Ethan White beginning this fall for national champion Maryland.
The Terps begin the 2009 campaign with a match against UCLA on Friday, Sept. 4 at 8 p.m. at Ludwig Field.

Before Maryland: Member of the U17 and U20 Dominican Republic National Teams..was named Most Valuable Player as a freshman in international tournament leading his squad to a second-place finish after falling to Venezuela in the finals...played only one year of high school soccer prior to relocating to Argentina...played club soccer for Bauger, Newells Old Boys and Nueva.
Personal: Full name is Gonzalo Antonio Frechilla...the son of Antonio Frechilla and Marisol Armenteros...born August 8, 1990...has one brother, Alvaro... has previously trained with Real Madrid's third division team...born in Miami, Fla....hobbies include cars and traveling.
