COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Three incoming men's soccer recruits, forwards Omar Gonzalez and Jeremy Hall, and midfielder Drew Yates, were named to the PARADE All-America team recently. Coaches, scouts and recruiters across the country select candidates for the prestigious team every year, and the final rosters are selected by a group of experts.

Gonzalez and Hall were members of the U.S. Residency Program in Bradenton, Fla., and played with the U-17 in the World Championships last year. Yates, meanwhile, helped DeMatha to a perfect 23-0 record as a senior and was named the Gatorade Player of the Year for Maryland and was also the Washington Post Player of the Year.

The 2006 Terrapins open play on August 12 with an exhibition game against Georgetown in Germantown, Md., and have another exhibtion contest against Indiana on August 18 in Fort Wayne, Ind. The regular season gets underway on August 25 at Old Dominion.
