COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Maryland men's soccer season celebrated its second national title in four seasons Saturday with an array of events including being honored at halftime of the Maryland/Miami men's basketball game.

The champion Terps were joined by family, friends and supporters who packed Heritage Hall in the Comcast Center Saturday to celebrate the squad's remarkable season. Dave Johnson from Comcast SportsNet emceed the event and guest speakers included University of Maryland President C.D. (Dan) Mote, Jr., Azizuddin Abdur-Ra'oof, Associate Athletics Director/Executive Director, M Club and Greg Enloe, Associate Athletic Director, Terrapin Club.

Following a luncheon and the viewing of the 2008 Maryland Men's Soccer Highlight DVD, awards were distributed to the following players:

Most Valuable Player (Offense) : Jeremy Hall
Most Valuable Player (Defense): Omar Gonzalez and A.J. Delagarza
John Carlson Award: Omar Gonzalez and Graham Zusi
Peter Lowry Award: Michael Marchiano
Coaches Award: Rich Costanzo

The evening concluded with the squad being honored at halftime of the Maryland/Miami men's basketball game.
