As a Junior: IC4A qualifier at the Indoor and Outdoor Championships All-East performer in the 60 hurdles during the indoor season, by placing eighth at the IC4A Championships running a season best 8.17 finished sixth at the 2001 ACC Indoor Championships in the 60 hurdles with a time of 8.096 ran on 4x100 relay team that places fourth at ACC Outdoor Championships with a time of 41.48 finished first at the Bucknell Invitational in the 55 hurdles at 7.62 finished second in the 60 hurdles at the George Mason Invitational (8.20) finished sixth at the ACC Outdoor Championships in the 110 hurdles with a time of 14.42 placed first in the 100 at the Maryland Outdoor Invitational, 11.14 and also placed second in the 110 hurdles, 14.56 also placed first at the Delaware Invitational in the 60 hurdles (8.13)
As a Sophomore: Developed into one of the teams top hurdlers, despite battling injuries throughout much of the year missed qualifying for NCAA competition by .02 seconds IC4A Qualifier
As a Freshman: Provided an immediate impact in the short-distance hurdles finished with the best time on the team in the 55 hurdles, 60 hurdles, 60 meters, and 200 meters during the indoor season recorded five first-place finishes during the indoor season and one during the outdoor season had a total of 14 top-five finishes last season
Before Maryland: Letterwinner in both track and football at Heritage High in Virginia twice named Daily Press all-star and athlete of the year state champion in 55 hurdles two-time state champion in the 4x400 relay two-time All-American best time in 55 hurdles was 7.31 ... best time in 110 hurdles was 13.67 team MVP and winner of senior male scholar-athlete award involved in Naval JROTC
