Six Men's Lacrosse Signees Set To Play In Under Armour All-America Lacrosse Classic

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Six incoming men's lacrosse signees will be in action this weekend in the Under Armour All-America Lacrosse Classic on Saturday, July 12, at Towson's Unitas Stadium.

Playing for the North team will be midfielder Michael Shakespeare from Massachusetts. The South team will have a quintet of future Terps in midfielder Jake Bernhardt from Florida, attackman Owen Blye from Pennsylvania, attackman Joe Cummings from Maryland, midfielder Joe Fontanesi from Michigan and defender Grant Oliver from.

The Under Armour All-America Lacrosse Classic will begin at 9 a.m. with the Underclassmen boy's and girl's semifinals. The Girls' All-America game, which features four future Terps on the south squad, begins at 6 p.m. The Boy's All-America game is scheduled for an 8 p.m. start. Tickets for the event can be purchased through Ticketmaster.

Has registered 57 goals, 13 assists and 104 groundballs this season for Coach Peter Bidstrup ... In his career, he has totaled 166 goals, 60 assists and 414 groundballs ... U.S. Lacrosse All-American ... Invited to the U19 USA team tryouts ... Selected League and Team MVP in 2008 ... All-New England choice ... #1 rated midfielder by Inside Lacrosse and RISE Magazine .. Named ISL All-League in 2006, 2007 and 2008 ... Holds the school record for most single-game goals (9); most single-game points (11); midfielder single-season goals (57); midfielder single-season points (75); most consecutive games with a goal (24); and is the school's 2nd all-time leading scorer ... Also played football, where he earned All-Conference, All-District, FNF All-Central Florida, Team MVP and was a member of the Orlando Touchdown Club ... One of only two players from Florida to ever be invited to Team USA tryouts and to be invited to play in the Under Armour All-American game ...
