GENERAL INFORMATION One-Week Sessions July 7 - July 11 Cost: Overnight - $435 Day Camper - $335

Every camper receives a pair of Maryland lacrosse shorts and reversible jersey. Call the Maryland men's lacrosse office at (301) 314-7114 to obtain an application. To ensure the best possible teaching environment, the camp enrollment is limited. Please apply early. Deposits are non-refundable.

Upon receipt of your deposit, a complete set of directions, check-in and check-out times and all other pertinent information will be mailed to you.

DAILY SCHEDULE 7 a.m. Wake Up 8 a.m. Breakfast 9 a.m. - 11 a.m Morning Session 11:20 a.m. Lunch 1 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. Afternoon Session 3 p.m. Free-Time 5 a.m. Dinner 6:15 p.m. - 8:15 p.m. Evening Session 9:15 Free Time 11 p.m. Bed check - lights out

Campers will eat their meals in the comfort of an air-conditioned dining hall. Campers enjoy a menu specifically designed for them with no limits on what they eat and drink.

THE STAFF

Dave Slafkosky - Assistant Director
Assistant head lacrosse coach at the University of Maryland ... has 21 years of coaching experience at the Division 1 level ... graduate of Johns Hopkins University where he was a key performer on the Blue Jays'1974 national championship team ... coordinates on-field sessions and activities.

John Stainbrook
Assistant lacrosse coach at the University of Maryland ... joined the Terps in Sept. 1996 ... former assistant coach at Nazareth College ... was an outstanding college defenseman.

Bill Lawson
Head lacrosse coach at Lafayette College ... a veteran of nearly 20 years of Division 1 competition.

Members of the 2001 Maryland squad as well as other former Terrapin players will join the staff for both weeks of camps.

TRANSPORTATION
We will provide free transportation between Baltimore-Washington International Airport before and after after each camp session. On Saturday, the first day of camp, the shuttle will leave the airport at 12:30 p.m. for the University of Maryland. On Wednesday, the last day of camp, transportation will arrive at the airport at 1 p.m. Please note these times when making travel arrangements and provide the camp directors with flight information at least two prior to the start of camp so we can accommodate travel needs.

HOUSING
All camp activities will be conducted on the University of Maryland campus and campers will be housed in dormitories in double rooms. Roommate requests will be honored whenever possible.

PHILOSOPHY
The Maryland lacrosse camp combines incomparable playing fields with a professional teaching staff to help a campers learn to be the lacrosse player that they can be. Campers are organized according to age and ability so they can have an opportunity to play with and against others with similar abilities and talents.

RULES AND REGULATIONS
1. Each camper must bring his own stick, helmet, gloves, pads, shoes and mouth guard. In addition, one set of single-size sheets, a pillow, pillow case, towels and soap are also required items for each camper to bring with him. 2. All campers must remain on campus at all times. The entire staff is housed in the dorms with the campers throughout the week, creating opportunities for campers to interact with coaches on and off the playing field. 3. All campers who enroll will be required to attend all sessions and comply with all rules and regulations governing the conduct of camp participants. Any violation or abuse of these rules and regulations will result in immediate dismissal from camp without a refund.

MEDICAL COVERAGE
Two full-time athletic trainers will work closely with the campers throughout the duration of the camp sessions. The university health center will remain open 24 hours a day and will be available when needed.
