As a freshman (2003): Ran with the third midfield unit much of the season, finishing with five points (four goals and one assist) in his first collegiate season ... played in 15 of 16 games with three goals coming in the first five games ... scored Terps' 11th goal in NCAA Quarterfinal win vs. UMass (5/17) to break scoreless run ... first career assist on first of three Joe Walters' goals vs. Butler (3/25) ... scored third goal of year vs. North Carolina (3/25) ... netted go-ahead goal vs. Bucknell (3/11) in second quarter, to make it 7-6 on the way to 14-8 win ... scored first college goal on first shot in first game vs. Duke (3/2).
Before Maryland: Lettered four years at Ridley High School in Folsom, Pa., under coach Doug Ellers ... two-time All-American who led the Green Raiders to the state championship in both his junior and senior seasons ... all-state and all-league as a sophomore, junior and senior ... won the MVP award at the PSLA Championships and the Keystone Cup ... was an all-state football player as a wide receiver and an All-Delco selection as a basketball point guard.
