2002 Update:
On Hochstadt: A tough, strong hard worker
has seen time at both midfield and attack during his career but will be a midfielder this season
a diligent worker who knows his role on the team
expected to be more productive as a senior
can be an asset as a right-handed outside shooter on man-up.
As a junior (2001): Played in all 16 games as part of Maryland's extra-man unit
scored four goals, three of which came in man-up situations, added an assist
took 32 shots
scored his first goal of the year against Duke (3/4)
tallied key man-up goal at Towson (3/10)
scored extra-man goals in back-to-back games at Navy (4/7) and vs. Johns Hopkins (4/14)
notched only assist of the season in regular-season finale vs. UMBC (5/5).
As a sophomore (2000): Played in 14 of 16 games
recorded six goals and three assists for nine points
six goals came in six different games while assists all came in one game
scored a pair of extra-man goals and scooped up five groundballs
started season strong with career-high three-assist performance against Mount St. Marys (2/27)
three-point game also stands as a career high
tallied first goal against Duke (3/4) on the extra-man to bring Maryland within one, 8-7, in the third quarter
scored in back-to-back games against Towson (3/11) and Delaware (3/15)
scored in consecutive games again against North Carolina (3/25) an extra-man goal and Virginia (3/31)
scored sixth goal in regular-season finale at UMBC (5/6).
As a freshman (1999): Saw action in seven games as a reserve attackman
made collegiate debut against Penn State (3/17)
scored first collegiate goal against Dartmouth (3/23)
older brother Scott scored three goals in same win over Dartmouth.
Before Maryland: Two-sport performer at Boys Latin High School in Baltimore
earned three letters in lacrosse under coach Bob Shriver
captained football and lacrosse teams as a senior
honored by being named a Maryland Senior All-Star following season
led Lakers to a national championship in lacrosse as a junior with a perfect 17-0 campaign
lettered in football three times.
