The University of Maryland Department of Intercollegiate Athletics couldn't agree more with our esteemed alum. Thus, we have embarked upon a special fund raising campaign to support the construction of a short game practice facility for the Men's and Women's varsity golf teams. As a part of Great Expectations: The Campaign for Maryland, we are seeking donations from alumni and friends of the Terrapin Men's and Women's Golf programs to help make this $700,000 facility project possible. Men's Head Coach Tom Hanna and Women's Head Coach Jason Rodenhaver are extremely excited about the teaching and recruiting opportunities that will be provided by the short game practice facility. Our student athletes will benefit greatly from the private practice opportunities afforded by a short game area dedicated exclusively for the use of our varsity golf teams. This much-needed facility improvement will help the steady progression and improvement of our Men's and Women's Golf programs. Located in a secluded area near the fourth hole of the University of Maryland Golf Course, the short game practice area will feature:

How Can I Help Maryland Golf? The approximate cost to build the short game practice area is $700,000. Separately, the Grass Tees at the driving range will cost approximately an additional $100,000**. Like all major athletic departments across the country, Maryland Athletics needs support from alumni and friends of Maryland Men's and Women's Golf to make this project a reality. You can support the Men's and Women's Golf programs with a gift for the short game practice facility. Your tax-deductible donation can be made as an outright gift or it can be pledged over a five-year period. Golf project donors who are also Terrapin Club members will receive Terpoint credit for their donation. Naming opportunities are available with the short game practice area fund raising campaign, including the facility itself, individual greens, and operations building. Additional naming opportunities are available in the existing Maryland Varsity Golf Clubhouse, including the clubhouse itself, the varsity team lounge, coaches' offices, locker rooms and individual lockers.
The Holman Short Game Golf Facility Other Maryland Golf naming opportunities are available within the Holman Short Game Golf Facility:
