POWELLS POINT, N.C. - Three Maryland golfers finished the first round in the top-15 to lead the Terps at the Old Dominion/Outer Banks Intercollegiate at the par-72, 6,535-yard Kilmarlic Golf Club. The Terps are tied for third.

Senior Joey Rice finished with his third straight below par round of the season. The Dunkirk, Md., native carded a 2-under 70 and is tied for eighth heading into the second round.

Sophomore Sean Bosdosh sits one stroke behind Rice after firing a 1-under 71. Bosdosh is tied for 10th. Freshman Jordan Sweet is tied for 15th after shooting an even-par 72.

Senior Sean Brannan is tied for 42nd and sophomore Will Wiseman is tied for 55th.

The second round is scheduled for Monday.

Georgia is the team leader after the first round. The Bulldogs' T.J. and Keith Mitchell lead the individual competition.
