Harris Fuels Terps After Saturday Surge

STATESBORO, GA – The Maryland men’s golf team is currently in fourth place after two rounds of play at the Schenkel Invitational. Freshman Tom Harris jumped from T55 to T10 after posting a five-under 67 today, his career best. He joins teammate Sean Bosdosh who is also tied for 10th, after shooting a 72 and 71 in the tournament’s opening rounds. After finishing the first round tied for ninth, Maryland shot a season-low 288 as a team and jumped five spots into fourth place. Freshman Andrew McCain improved on his first round score, shooting a two-over 74. Alabama currently sits in first place in the rankings with a 13-under 563. Alabama sophomore Justin Thomas is threes strokes ahead of the individual field after posting a 67 and 70 in the first two rounds. The final round of the Schenkel Invitational will conclude tomorrow.
