Premium Seating Offers Fans All the Comforts of Home
June 8, 2009
COLLEGE PARK, Md. - With the finishing touches being placed on the Tyser Tower renovation project, it's not too early to start thinking about the upcoming football season.
The newly-expanded Tyser Tower will officially open at the first home football game on Saturday, Sept. 12 when the Terrapins play host to James Madison (6 p.m. kickoff).
The renovated press box includes 64 luxury suites and over 400 new mezzanine seats. Both offer fans all the comforts of home, including covered seating and beverage service.
The enhancement to the stadium is vital to the growth of the Maryland football program which has been to six bowl games in Ralph Friedgen's eight seasons and seen record home crowds.
"Chevy Chase Bank Field at Byrd Stadium is our home," Friedgen said. "These improvements will dramatically enhance our stadium and attract even more people to watch us play."
Fans can experience one of the best home schedules in recent memory as Rutgers, Clemson, Virginia, Virginia Tech and Boston College are among the seven teams the Terps will face in Byrd.
While the interest in the premium seating has been high, there still are both suites and mezzanine seats available for the 2009 season.
Mezzanine seating comes with a number of benefits that are exclusive to this area:

Pricing for the mezzanine level starts at $1,095.00 per seat and is available on lifetime, 10-year or annual lease terms.
The new suites come in various sizes and are available for as low as $275.00 per guest per game.
