Terps' Football Season-Opener to Be Seen on ESPN 360

June 4, 2007

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The 2007 season-opener for the University of Maryland football team will be broadcast on ESPN 360, the national sports network's broadband outlet, the Atlantic Coast Conference office announced Monday.

Maryland is scheduled meet the Villanova Wildcats at 6 p.m. ET on Saturday, Sept. 1 at Chevy Chase Bank Field at Byrd Stadium in the first of six home games.

The ACC office announced game times for the first three weeks of the season. The Maryland-West Virginia game, scheduled to begin at 7:45 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 13 in College Park, Md., was already selected by ESPN for a national broadcast.

Following the home opener, the Terps hit the road on Saturday, Sept. 8 to face Florida International University. The Maryland-FIU tilt is scheduled to kick off at 7 p.m. in Miami. That game was not selected as one of the league's televised contests.

After the first three weeks of the season, ACC home games are selected on a 12-day option by ESPN/ABC or Lincoln Financial Sports/Raycom.

In addition to Villanova and West Virginia, the Terps will face Georgia Tech (Oct. 6), Virginia (Oct. 20), Clemson (Oct. 27) and Boston College (Nov. 11) at home.

Season tickets for this fall's home slate start as low as $162 and are on sale through the Maryland Athletics Ticket Office. Fans can contact 1-800-IM-A-TERP or click here.
