As a Sophomore (2011): Played in all 12 games along the offensive line including starts in six games at left guard ... has also seen action on special teams and as a reserve at right guard ... helped the offense rank third in the ACC in rushing (169.3 yards per game) and fourth in fewest sacks allowed (1.4 pg) ... replaced Andrew Gonnella (knee injury) at left guard during the fourth quarter of the Georgia Tech game (10/8) ... made his first start of the season against Clemson (10/15) and helped the team pile up a season-high 291 rushing yards ... helped the Terps not allow a sack for the fifth time this season against Notre Dame (11/12) ... part of an effort that allowed Maryland to rush for 229 yards while holding Wake Forest (11/19) without a sack.
As a Redshirt Freshman (2010): Played in eight games at both left and right guard with one start for an offense which ranked 29th in the FBS in scoring (32.2 ppg) and tied for fifth nationally in fewest turnovers (15) ... saw his first career action vs. Morgan State (9/11) ... did not play vs. West Virginia (9/18), but saw action as a reserve in the next five games ... did not get on the field vs. Miami (11/6) and Virginia (11/13), but took over for injured right guard Justin Lewis vs. FSU (11/20) and helped the Terps post 163 rushing yards and 269 passing yards ... made his first career start vs. NC State (11/27), opening the game at right guard ... aided Danny O'Brien in passing for a career-high 417 yards vs. the Wolfpack ... did not play vs. East Carolina in the Military Bowl (12/29).
