As a Senior (2011): Did not see action as a reserve defensive back ... earned defensive scout team player of the week for his work leading up to the Florida State game (10/22) ... secured special teams scout team player of the week for his effort leading up to the Wake Forest contest (11/19). As a Junior (2010): Did not see action as a reserve defensive back .. joined the team in the fall ... enrolled at Maryland in the fall of 2009. As a Freshman and Sophomore (2007-08 at Salisbury University): A two-time Capital Athletic Conference All-Academic team choice ... coached by Sherman Wood. At Gwynn Park High School: Team went undefeated during 2005 season and won state championship ... selected to play in 2006 P.6 all-star game ...also ran track ... invited to Nike state college football camp in 2006 ... coached by Danny Hayes. Personal: Parents are Daniel and Toni Thomas ... chose Maryland because of academics and proximity to home ... favorite sports hero is Michael Vick ... career plans include attending law school ... graduated in December, 2011 with a bachelor's degree in history. |
