A smart, athletic defensive lineman who has a strong lower body and good leverage ... has played in 22 career games with one start ... has battled injuries ... had a promising true freshman season (2009) cut short with a knee injury ... a regular in the defensive line rotation in 2010 ... missed all but one game in 2011 with a knee injury ... expected for battle for time at defensive end in the fall.

As a Junior (2011): Made his first-career start at defensive end in the season opener against Miami (9/5) ... had two tackles, including 1.0 tackles for loss, before suffering a season-ending knee injury.
