Bowl History
Dating back to 1946, the University of Maryland has a long, storied tradition of playing in postseason bowl games. In total, the Terps have played in 24 postseason bowl games.

- Maryland has made three appearances in the Orange Bowl with its most recent trip coming in 2002.
- The bowl Maryland has been to the most is the Gator Bowl. Maryland played in the Jacksonville-based bowl in 1948, 1950, 1975 and 2002.
- Maryland’s longest bowl streak is four years from 1982-1985. The Terps have been to a bowl game in three of the last four seasons.
- Tennessee is the most common opponent for the Terps in bowl games, having been on the opposite sidelines on five occasions (152 Sugar, 1974 Liberty, 1982 Citrus, 1984 Sun and 2002 Peach).
