COLLEGE PARK, Md. - University of Maryland junior forward Ekene Ibekwe has officially withdrawn his name from the 2006 NBA draft and is currently enrolled in summer session at Maryland. Ibekwe, who averaged 11.1 points and a team-best 6.6 rebounds per game last season for the Terps, had until June 18th to officially withdraw his name.

Meanwhile, 2006 Maryland senior co-captains Nik Caner-Medley and Chris McCray are both participating in the NBA Pre-draft Camp in Orlando, which takes place June 6-10.

There are currently nine former Maryland players on NBA rosters: Lonny Baxter (Charlotte), Steve Blake (Portland), Juan Dixon (Portland), Steve Francis (New York), Sarunas Jasikevicius (Indiana), Terence Morris (Orlando), Laron Profit (Los Angeles Lakers), Joe Smith (Milwaukee) and Chris Wilcox (Seattle).
