Booth, Elliot Lead Terps Past Pennsylvania

BALTIMORE, Md. - Keith Booth scored 16 of his 26 points in the first half and Rodney Elliott added 22 as seventh-ranked Maryland pulled away for a 103-73 victory over Pennsylvania at Baltimore Arena.

Maryland (16-2), off to its best start in school history, won for the fifth time in six games.

The Terrapins led 31-25 with 7:31 left before closing the first half on a 16-9 run for a 47-34 halftime advantage. Maryland opened the second half with a 16-7 burst to grab a 63-41 lead with just over 13 minutes remaining.

Jed Ryan had 17 points for Pennsylvania (5-7), which suffered its third straight loss. The Quakers lead the series, 12-2, but this was the first meeting between the schools since the 1952-53 season.
