Third Annual Maryland Baseball Golf Classic Slated for Friday, Sept. 22
July 17, 2006 Terp fans, make plans now to attend the third annual University of Maryland Baseball Golf Classic. This year's event, to be held Friday, Sept. 22 beginning at 8:30 a.m. at the University of Maryland Golf Course, features a number of tournament contests, including closest- to-the-pin and longest drive, plus a chance to win a car with a hole-in-one. A pair of season tickets to both the 2006-07 Maryland men's and women's basketball home games will be raffled, with the drawings slated for Nov. 13. An auction featuring sports memorabilia and golf outings also will be held. The entry fee of $150 per person or $600 per foursome includes an embroidered golf shirt, golf balls, tournament cap, barbecue chicken and rib buffet, and snacks and drinks on the course. A registration form, which can be found on the links below, should be returned no later than Sept. 15. All proceeds benefit the University of Maryland baseball program.
